If you’re waking up looking for some USC recruiting news then this one will make you smile.

2020 Offensive Tackle Joey Wright announced his commitment to the Trojans on Sunday morning through his twitter account. The three star offensive tackle out of Bishop Manogue High School in Reno, NV tweeted his commitment around midnight pacific time. Wright also had offers from Arizona State, Fresno State, and Arizona to name the few.

The 247 Sports composite ranks Wright as the No. 118 offensive tackle in the 2020 class. He’s also ranked No. 1282 overall and is the No. 10 overall prospect in the state of Nevada. What makes Wright an interesting prospect is his size. The three star offensive lineman measures at 6’6 and 297 lb. With that size and some athleticism as a basketball player added to that makes Wright pretty intriguing. While he’s still raw at his position, Wright’s size and athleticism he has plenty of upside which makes that worth the offer.

At USC’s Elite Camp Wright caught some attention. The 6’6 lineman displayed his athletic ability and footwork in front of the USC coaches. Gerard Martinez of USCfootball.com named Wright one of the top performers at Wednesday’s camp.

Wright is the second player from USC’s Elite Camp to commit to USC. 2020 Two way lineman Kyle Juergens committed to the Trojans Friday evening. USC now has two offensive lineman added to their 2020 recruiting class.
