USC continues to beef up their offensive line. Three star offensive tackle Andres Dewerk becomes the latest recruit to sign to the 2020 recruiting class during the early signing period.
The Los Gatos High School product committed to the Trojans back in June. Since then he’s never looked back and held firm to his commitment. Derek also held offers from UCLA, Boston College, Colorado State, Colorado, and Arizona.
Per the 247 Sports Composite, Dewerk is rated as a three star and is ranked as the No. 101 offensive tackle in the 2020 recruiting class. Overall he is ranked No. 108 in California. The despite the rankings and his three star status, Dewerk is projected to have a promising upside and could be a starter in the future. At 6’7, 297 pounds, the three star offensive tackle brings some athleticism and edge quickness to the Trojans front line.
Dewerk joins a USC 2020 recruiting class filled with offensive linemen that features Cortland Ford, Casey Collier, Andrew Melik, and Caadyn Stephen. The Trojans now add more depth to the front line which was in need of it. Dewerk will have a head start to compete for rotation time as he will enroll early and join the Trojans for spring camp.
