USC adds another Wide Receiver to the 2018 class.
Devon Williams announces that he will sign with the Trojans over Oregon live on ESPN 2.
Williams is rated as a 4 star wide receiver on the 247 Composite. He is ranked 6th nationally at the receiver positon as well as overall in the state of California. The 6’4, 200 pound wide receiver out of Lancaster, California has also played safety and quarterback, however he will be used as a wide receiver at USC.
This was looking like an Oregon commit as some had Williams projected to go to the Ducks. The Trojans now add another wide receiver to their 2018 class with Amon-Ra St. Brown already signed with the Trojans. USC has a large amount of depth at the wide receiver position, however Williams now becomes one of the tallest receivers on the roster next to Randall Grimes. It will be interesting to see if he will see some targets with his height and some speed. It will be difficult given the amount of depth behind Tyler Vaughns and Michael Pittman Jr. who had outstanding performances last season, but with anything is open with the departure of Deontay Burnett and Steven Mitchell Jr.
