Early signing day is off and running as the first letter of the day has hit the fax machine. If they still even use that. USC is already flipped a commit.

IMG Academy Safety Briton Allen has committed to the Trojans early Wednesday morning, addressing a need at defensive back in the 2019 class. Allen committed to Georgia Tech back on November 30th, however he flipped his commitment on early signing day after making a visit to USC on December 14th,

Allen is rated as a three star corner out of Orlando, Florida. At 6-foot-0, 186 pounds, Allen is ranked at No. 33 in the 2019 safety class and ranked 50th in the state of Florida according to the 247 Sports Composite.

The commitment of Allen address a huge need at defensive back for the Trojans. With the departure of Marvell Tell to graduation and the transfers of Bubba Bolden and Yikli Ross added by the season ending injuries to Talanoa Hufanga and Isaiah Pola-Mao the depth at the safety position took a huge hit. Allen plans on enrolling early to get a jump at competing to see the field early.

USC already has commitments at defensive backs from four star cornerback Max Williams and three star cornerback Trey Davis.
