After a de-commitment from a fellow 2018 running back Mychal Salahuddin, the Trojans landed Markese Stepp to fill their ground attack needs.
Stepp announced his commitment via Twitter on Sunday, Dec. 17, just days before the early signing period begins for recruits on Dec. 20.

The talented four-star hailing from Cathedral in Indianapolis had de-committed from Notre Dame on Dec. 2, and was considering Louisville and Indiana as potential homes before committing to USC.
Stepp boasts a career total of 1,863 yards and 29 touchdowns, as well as an average 8.2 yards per carry and 103.5 yards per game.
Stepp had taken his official visit to USC two days prior to his Sunday announcement, and was just coming off an official visit to Louisville on Saturday. He is the only running back in the Trojans’ 2018 class and will provide added depth to the position.
Per the 247Sports composite, Stepp is 6 foot, 228 pounds, and the No. 12 ranked running back in the class of 2018.
