USC continues to work on their future schedules. USC announced that they have added Fresno State to their 2028 schedule Thursday afternoon. They also announced that their 2025 meeting will be moved to September 5th 2026.

USC and Fresno State have become very familiar opponents the last few years. The two programs have met three times (two in non conference play and one in the 2013 Las Vegas Bowl.) with the Trojans winning all the meetings. Their last meeting came in last season’s opener where USC defeated Fresno State 31-23 in the Coliseum. The Trojans are also scheduled to play Fresno State in 2022.

The USC schedule is filled all the way until 2023 at the moment. However, according to USCfootball.com, the Trojans are currently looking to replace FCS UC Davis on their 2021 schedule. USC would have to pay UC Davis $725,000 to cancel the game if they do go that route according to The Athletic.

This coming season USC non conference slate includes Alabama, Notre Dame, and New Mexico. After that the Trojans are set to face BYU (2021 and 2023), Rice (2022), Nevada (2023), and Fresno State (2022) with the annual Notre Dame rivalry. The Trojans do have an opening in 2024 where San Jose State and Notre Dame are the only teams scheduled.
