The Los Angeles Chargers traveled to Arizona to face the Cardinals to start off their Pre-season. Nwosu left Charger fans impressed with the 2nd round pick out of USC. As he did for the Trojans, Nwosu was all over the field. He had two total tackles and one sack on Cardinals rookie quarterback Josh Rosen. A sight that many USC fans are very familiar with. However the Chargers would drop the game to Arizona 24-17.
Nwosu was tagged as one of the more underrated players in this years draft. The Chargers 3-4 defense is a great fit for the 48th overall pick. Nwosu showed his ability to disrupt the backfield and his athleticism by making plays all over the field. The rookie linebacker has been impressive in practice and could find himself in the rotation if he continues to have performances like the one he had on Saturday. There are 3 more games left in the pre-season and there’s plenty of room for the former USC Trojan to climb his way up on the depth chart. Expect to hear more about Uchenna Nwosu this season.
