USC brings in another top linebacker!
Linebacker Solomon Tuliaupupu announced that we will be attending USC this season. The announcement came live on ESPN 2.
Tuliaupupu is rated as a 4 star Inside Linebacker out of Mater Dei High School, in Santa Ana, California. He is ranked 3rd in the nation at his position and 10th overall in the state of California according to the 247 Sports Composite. The 6-2, 225 lb Linebacker also had Notre Dame and UCLA in the mix. Tuliaupupu is viewed as a versatile linebacker who can lineup inside or outside. He also has speed and athleticism that coaches look for at linebacker.
USC already has 5 star Palaie Gaoteote and 4 star Eli’jah Winston signed and adding Tuliapupu gives USC a very strong linebacking core for the 2018 Class. The Trojans also go 3 for 3 with Mater Dei prospects with wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and quarterback JT Daniels already sending their Letters of Intent in. While Tuliaupupu may not see much time at inside linebacker with Cameron Smith returning to the Trojans, he could end up seeing time at outside linebacker and could compete for a spot in the rotation at inside linebacker. One thing for sure is that the Trojans now have depth at the position, which is needed.
