On Tuesday it was announced that former USC offensive coordinator Tee Martin and quarterbacks coach Bryan Ellis will not be with the program in 2019.
Let the USC coaching exodus begin. With the retention of head coach Clay Helton it was no secret that the USC Trojans would begin to see some major staff changes in the days and weeks to come.
It was announced by Ryan Abraham of USCFootball.com that former offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Tee Martin would no longer be with the program after dismal offensive performances from the Trojans in 2018. Second year quarterbacks coach Bryan Ellis will also not be wearing cardinal and gold in 2019. It was announced that Ellis will likely be taking the offensive coordinator position at Western Kentucky under fellow former USC quarterbacks coach Tyson Helton.
What does this mean for USC?
It means that Lynn Swann and Helton need to hand former Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury a blank check.
Kingsbury is the hottest name being swirled around as a potential offensive coordinator for USC. With a deep threat quarterback like JT Daniels, Kingsbury’s air raid offense would be a refreshing weapon for 2019’s Trojan team.
Will USC pull out the big guns for Kingsbury?
