Ceyair Wright commits to USC!

Wright is the nation’s 6th-ranked CB

The USC Trojans picked up a huge grab for the 2021 Class ahead of the much-anticipated decision of top player Korey Foreman when four-star ATH Ceyair Wright pledged to the Trojans on live TV on NBC.

Wright chose USC over Jackson State, Notre Dame, Michigan and Oregon, improving USC’s team ranking in terms of recruiting points from 14th overall to 12th overall. Wright is the nation’s 77th-best player on the 247Sports composite and the sixth-best cornerback.

From Loyola High School, Wright is also the state of California’s eighth-best player for this class as well.

247Sports ranked Wright as a potential Day 2 NFL draft pick and compared him to current NFL standout CB Xavier Rhodes.

His evaluation from Greg Biggins of 247Sports was just as promising:

Long, athletic frame with very good top-end speed. Track background. Clocked a 10.84 100 and ran on state-winning 4x400 relay team as a junior and that speed translates well to the football field. Long arms, good ball awareness and build for press coverage. Shows playmaking skill at receiver and in the return game but upside looks highest as a cover corner. Does a nice job playing the ball in the air and closes really well on the football. Needs to continue to fill out and add some strength and increase his physicality in run support but has all the tools to be an upper-tier Power 5 starter and future high-round NFL Draft pick.

Welcome to the USC Family, Ceyair! We’re excited to have you!

FIGHT ON!
