The 2020 college football season is approaching quickly. And though it will look unlike any college football season in recent memory, there is still a ton of fun to be had. A ton of games to watch. A lot of film to breakdown.

And a lot of college fantasy football to play.

If you haven’t played college fantasy football yet, you’ve been missing out. It’s rapidly growing in popularity and makes the typical fantasy football challenges even more difficult. Instead of learning about 32 NFL teams, you get to learn about 60+ Power Five conference schools, 60+ Group of 5 conference schools, Independent players, and so, so much more.

The players that play college fantasy football know what they’re doing and know the game of college football better than most.

One of those individuals is Thor Nystrom, lead college football writer at Rotoworld and the winner of College Sports Writer of the Year from the FSWA in 2018. So when Thor ranks USC Trojans QB Kedon Slovis as the top projected quarterback for fantasy purposes in 2020, you know there’s some serious backing for Slovis this season.

Coming in at No. 13 overall on the list, Slovis is the first Pac-12 quarterback to be featured on Thor’s updated overall fantasy football rankings list for 2020. He comes in ahead of Arizona State’s Jayden Daniels (No. 19), UCLA’s Dorian Thompson-Robinson (No. 29) and freshman, projected starter at Washington State, Jayden de Laura (No. 45).

It’s also important to note that Slovis ranks third among the top quarterbacks that are true pass-first options. Obviously, a running quarterback or ‘dual-threat’ at the position will get preferential treatment for fantasy football rankings, as they can score points with their legs as well.

Slovis falls behind SMU’s Shane Buechele and now-Mississippi-State QB K.J. Costello in pass-first offenses for quarterbacks on the rankings.

Fellow USC receivers also fell in top spots as WR Amon-Ra St. Brown ranked 19th overall, Tyler Vaughns came in at No. 22 overall, Drake London at No. 65 and redshirt freshman Bru McCoy at No. 283.

St. Brown and Vaughns finished Nos. 1 and 2, respectively, among Pac-12 receivers represented.
