Colin Mobley made it a full dozen for the class of 2021, pledging his allegiance to the USC Trojans over the weekend. Mobley became the 12th player to commit to USC and head coach Clay Helton for the class, supplanting this Trojans class into the top five classes nationally with his pledge.
Went through some tragedies.. I made it out to make it right. COMMITTED! #FIGHTON✌ pic.twitter.com/AGfvKrsOWm

Mobley hails from football powerhouse DeMatha Catholic in Hyattsville, Maryland, and ranks as the nation’s 29th-best defensive end and 16th-best player from Maryland. He’s 6’4 and tips the scales at 260, but moves like a much lighter man.
His time at DeMatha saw him receive at least 29 scholarship offers including the likes of LSU, Florida, Maryland, Florida State, Michigan, Ole Miss, Ohio State and many more big-name programs on the east coast.
Not only is Helton ‘taking back the west’ by keeping west coast recruits, he’s now gone completely national with this class.
Mobley’s commitment gives USC four different states on their commitment list, and the first on the eastern time zone. He joins Jay Toia on the defensive line as commitments for this class and fellow out-of-state commitments Julian Simon from Washington, Quaydarius Davis and Brandon Campbell from Texas.
He’s a great student with a 3.6 GPA as well as a tremendous pass-rusher and all-around defensive star. He’s a prime candidate to receive an uptick to a fourth star with a great senior season.
Welcome to the Trojan Family, Colin! Fight On!
