The fine people over at William Hill Sports Book released their openings odds for the Heisman Trophy winner during the upcoming 2020 college football season and the Trojans’ quarterback Kedon Slovis was included among the middle of the group at 40/1 odds, joining Texas A&M quarterback Kellen Mond with the same odds.

After taking over for J.T. Daniels in the first game of the season, Slovis went on a tear during his freshman season for the Trojans. In essentially 10 games (only threw 8 passes week one and two passes in week four), Slovis threw for 3,500 yards with 30 touchdowns to just nine interceptions. During the final six weeks of the season, Slovis was on a whole other level when he threw for over 400 yards in four of his final six games.

It remains to be seen whether or not Slovis will retain the starting job in 2020 once Daniels recovers from his season-ending injury but either way, the Trojans are in safe hands with whomever winds-up under center this season.
