Fans are likely chomping at the bit to see some football again, especially after the last season ending the way it did in the bowl game against Iowa. Unfortunately, no one can ever truly account for/when the injury bug decides to bite. With Slovis at the helm, we all know there was a very good chance that game goes in a completely different direction.
The Trojans obviously have plenty of firepower coming back which means the offense should keep chugging along as it did in 2019 with the trio of quarterback Kedon Slovis and wide receivers Tyler Vaughns and Amon-Ra St. Brown returning for another season together.
The defense returns the most experience along the defensive line with junior defensive tackles Jay Tufele and Marlon Tuipulotu (25 combined starts in ‘19) and sophomore defensive end Drake Jackson (12 games). Junior safeties Talanoa Hufanga and Isaiah Pola-Mao (10 and 12 games, respectively) will also be providing experience on the back end.
