The men’s basketball team got some new blood on Wednesday as it was announced that former Santa Clara guard Tahj Eaddy will be joining the program as a grad-transfer. Eaddy becomes the third commitment for the Trojan’s 2020 basketball program that’ll bring another veteran presence to the floor after collecting 45 starts over the last two seasons with the Broncos.
Here’s what 247sports.com had to say about the signing:
“Eaddy is a versatile shooting guard that can attack the basket, shoot the three and create for his teammates. In USC’s offensive system that relies on floor spacing and attacking off the dribble, Eaddy could be used in a variety of ways as a creator or a benefactor of the creation guards like Ethan Anderson or Elijah Weaver produce.”
Eaddy started all 31 games during the 2018 season, his first with Santa Clara, and finished averaging 15.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. He saw his numbers regress last season after only starting 14 games. He averaged 9.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in his final year with Santa Clara.
