The USC Trojans are facing off against the Oregon Ducks in the Pac-12 Championship Game today, Friday, December 18, 2020 at 5:00 pm PT. A de facto home game for USC, the Trojans welcomed the Ducks after the original Pac-12 North Champion Washington Huskies had to back out due to COVID-19 concerns and contact-tracing that would have left them without the requisite number of scholarship student-athletes.
Oregon comes in with a record of 3-2 and the inability to win the conference due to the fact that their originally-scheduled season finale against Washington last week was cancelled due to the Huskies ongoing issues with coronavirus.
Still, the Ducks present a unique challenge for the Trojans and ultimately, this is the game that all the experts predicted before the season had begun. This is the game that most predicted including the AP Top 25, who had the Ducks and Trojans as the two highest-ranked teams in the conference this preseason.
Led by a new team of starters on offense essentially, the Ducks have losses against Oregon State and Cal but wins over Stanford, Washington State and UCLA. They finished 2-0 at home this year, dropping two of their three away games, however.
