Jaxson Dart commits to, signs with USC

Dart joins Miller Moss as top-10 QB recruits for the class of 2021

NCAA Football: Southern California at UCLA Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Early Signing Day has come with a BANG for the USC Trojans as they landed Mr. Utah Football himself, Jaxson Dart!

It was rumored that it was a strong possibility that Dart was USC-bound after longtime commit and fellow QB Jake Garcia decommitted from USC over a week ago but the Early Signing Day Period proved to be extremely fruitful, and truthful for the Trojans.

Dart committed and sign live on ESPN2 and joins fellow QB Miller Moss as top-ranked quarterbacks to sign with the Trojans on Wednesday, December 16.

Dart recently was named Mr. Utah Football as he hails from Corner Canyon High School in Draper, Utah. He stands 6’3, 210 pounds and ranks as the No. 2 player in Utah and the ninth-ranked pro-style passer in the class of 2021.

He was also an All-State selection as a member of his high school baseball team twice.

His recruiting profile includes a favorable review from 247Sports:

Well-built, sturdy frame and prototypical size for the position. Strong lower half and above average physical tools. Accurate passer with great feel for the game. Shows very good arm strength and timing. Versatility to operate different looks. Displays tremendous touch and anticipation to fit throws between levels. Athletic and gritty enough to run for tough yardage. Laser focused and flashes all the intangibles necessary. Can sustain zip on his throws when rolling outside the pocket and changes arm angles under pressure. Could continue to improve pre-snap reads and reel in tendency to aim for the home run. Potential multi-year starter at elite Power Five level and projects as future NFL Draft selection.

He’s a major pickup for the Trojans and a huge bonus to a roster that is light on quarterbacks after Kedon Slovis is set to jettison for the NFL following next season. With Moss and Dart in the fold, the sky is truly the limit for the Trojans offense in the years to come.

The West has officially been taken back by the Trojans.

FIGHT ON!
