USC vs Arizona State: How to watch, TV schedule, game prediction

The Trojans take on the Sun Devils to open the Pac-12 football schedule

NCAA Football: Stanford at Southern California Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The day is finally here — your USC Trojans are back in action against the Arizona State Sun Devils! And we’ve got you covered with the information you need.

USC enters the shortened Pac-12 football season as heavy favorites to win the Pac-12 South as well as possibly represent the Pac-12 in the College Football Playoff. Sophomore quarterback Kedon Slovis can place his name in the Heisman Trophy pool with a strong performance and a new-look defense will give us the first glimpse of what they can possibly do in 2020 and beyond.

Game prediction

Slovis returns as the team’s signal-caller after JT Daniels transferred to Georgia and another season with Graham Harrell as offensive coordinator, as well as a very talented receiving corps spells a disaster for any waiting defense. And this year, Arizona State opens up with a ton of questions across their roster, including defensive back where former USC secondary member Jack Jones has been largely susceptible to the pass.

Jones has allowed 14 touchdowns over the past two seasons he’s been a part of and look for Slovis to have a field day picking him apart in coverage.

Jayden Daniels and the skill players emerge but watch out for a few big plays downfield from Daniels to WR Frank Darby before defensive coordinator Todd Orlando figures out how to stop the talented duo emerging in Tempe.

This one is a shootout close before USC’s depth reigns supreme.

USC wins it with a big day from Slovis and Co., 44-20.
