The USC Trojans are but a mere eight days away from opening the season against Arizona State. The eyes of the nation will be upon the Pac-12 when they return and your Trojans are set to be center stage.

We take a look around the block, to some of those writers who have had the privilege of gaining access to practice as well as some quotes from Clay Helton and the rest of the team.

USC opens the season against Arizona State at 9:00 am local time in the Fox Sports Big Noon Kickoff spot for November 7, which is technically set to be Week 10 of the college football season.

The Pac-12 football season is set to span seven weeks of action, just in time for a potential team, like USC, to be sitting at 7-0 and hoping to garner some votes for the College Football Playoff.

USC is the odds-on favorite to win the Pac-12 South, and for good reason, as they return a Heisman-Trophy-caliber player in Kedon Slovis as well as an outstanding cast of receivers for him to get the ball to.

More on the team as we inch closer to the season opener, but alas here we are with your daily links today:
