USC Basketball has been turning heads with their 2019 recruiting class. Max Agbonkopolo announced his commitment to USC on Friday afternoon through his twitter account, adding to an already loaded Trojans 2019 recruiting class.

Agbonkoplo is rated as a 4 star Small Forward out of Santa Margarita Catholic in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. He is ranked No. 33 nationally at the small forward position, also ranked 11th in the state of California according to the 247 sports composite. The 6’8, 180 lb small forward also had offers from Gonzaga, Arizona, Arizona State, Washington, Michigan, and Virginia.

USC currently sits at the top of the 2019 recruiting rankings according to 247 sports and Rivals composite, above powerhouse hoop programs such as Kentucky, UCLA, and Villanova to tame the few. Andy Enfield and his staff has done a great job bringing in some of the top recruits in the nation and building up the Trojans basketball program. The Trojans were the subject of an FBI investigation that has swept through college basketball, however that hasn’t slowed the program down on the recruiting trail. The 2018 class already features shooting guard Kevin Porter Jr, point guard Elijah Weaver, and power forward J’rann Brooks.

The 2019 class already features two of the top post players in California in Chino Hills Onyeka Okongwu and Rancho Christian Isaiah Mobley as well as dual sport athlete Drake London. Not to mention the Trojans are in running for 5 star shooting guard Cassius Stanley. The No. 1 ranking is the programs highest in recruiting since the 2007 class that finished No. 4 with O.J. Mayo and Davon Jefferson.
