USC will have a marquee match up coming during the 2018-19 Season. The Trojans has come to an agreement with the Nevada Wolfpack to have a home and home series for the 2018-19 season and 2019-20 season. The game is set to take place at Galen Center in Los Angeles, CA on December 1st. USC will make the trip to Reno during the 2019-2020 season. The announcement came via USC’s hoop’s twitter account on Monday afternoon.

Coached by Eric Musselman, the Nevada Wolfpack went 27-8 during the 2017-18 season which included an NCAA Tournament appearance. The Wolfpack advanced to the Sweet 16 where they lost to Loyola, Chicago in a heartbreaker. Nevada could be entering this match up as a top 10 team in the nation, especially with Jordan Caroline, Caleb Martin, and Cody Martin returning to the Wolfpack.

It seems as if the Trojans are doing what they can to beef up their schedule a bit. Last season the Trojans lacked quality victories against tournament teams who made the NCAA tournament, despite finishing second in the Pac-12 conference and making it all the way to the Pac-12 Tournament finals. It was announced back in early May that USC would face the TCU Horned Frogs at Staples Center on December 7th as a part of the Basketball Hall of Fame Classic. The Horned Frogs also made the tournament last season. Last week on Andy Katz’s podcast, head coach Andy Enfield stated that in addition to TCU and the Hall of Fame Classic in Kansas City with Texas Tech, Nebraska, and Missouri State, he was working on scheduling games with Nevada, Vanderbilt, and Oklahoma.

The rest of the USC non-conference schedule is expected to be released some time this summer.
