Trojans basketball received big news earlier today, gaining the commitment of SG Kevin Porter Jr in the Class of 2018.

The 6’5 210 pound shooting guard out of Seattle, Washington became the third Trojan commit in the last week, behind Taeshon Cherry and J’Raan Brooks. All three commits rank in both ESPN’s and 247Sports Top100.

Porter chose USC over offers from California, Oregon, UCLA, and Washington.

You can view Kevin Porter’s recent season highlights here.

As proven through the highlights, Porter is an elite scorer that can create his own shot in isolation. With the combination of his unlimited range and rare athleticism, Porter has immeasurable offensive potential. His arsenal includes drives, stepbacks, postups, crossovers and fadeaways. He will follow after elite prospects SG Charles O’Bannon Jr and SG Jordan Usher, both Top100 2017 recruits. With their addition, as well as Cherry’s and Brooks, look for Trojan basketball to continue to succeed in the years to come.
