Conquest Chronicles is looking for writers

Conquest Chronicles is a fan driven community that thrives on community participation. We love writing about the USC Trojans and are passionate about our school and we want to this battle station fully operational. If you are passionate about USC sports and enjoy writing, creating podcasts, videos, social media or other forms of content I strongly urge you to consider joining us.

What we can offer: A platform with which to promote independent work and mentorship/recommendations for future employment. Previous writers have landed full-time jobs at SB Nation, Bleacher Report, Scout, and many more.

In particular we could use:

USC recruiting writers: Recruiting is the life blood of any college football program and USC is no different. We could really use someone who wants to look at tape of top prospects and see where they stand, interview recruits, and keep us up to date on the latest USC recruiting news.

USC basketball writer: The Trojans Men’s basketball team is in the middle of turnaround and great things are happening for the program. We could use someone who is dedicated to covering USC hoops full-time and can dominate our USC basketball coverage.

Social Media Help: Want to help CC take our social media presence to the next level? We could use your help.

We could use the help in other areas as well. Previous writing experience is great, but not required.

At Conquest Chronicles you will join a team, of smart, passionate, creative and hard-working individuals. Our team has people from a wide-variety of backgrounds and we pride ourselves on helping everyone on our team improve and work towards their professional goals.

Are these positions paid?

Contributor positions are usually not paid. None of these positions would be classified as a "full time" position, though. We will gladly work with you to help you get the absolute most personally and professionally out of this gig including working with you to get internship credit and doing what we can to help you make the jump to the next level while exposing you to a national audience.
