Following many seasons of losing local prospects to Pac-12 powerhouses UCLA and Oregon, the Trojans have reinvigorated their recruiting efforts recently and have gotten off to hot start for 2019 with their first commit of the class in four-star athlete De’Gabriel Floyd.
The sophomore two-way player announced his intentions early Monday morning:

At a stout 6’2”, 210 lbs., Floyd has bounced between running back and outside linebacker and plays with a high-level of physicality at both positions. Already recorded at a 4.60 40-yard dash according to 247Sports, the second-ranked athlete in the nation - and 31st overall recruit in the 2019 class - would provide an immediate playmaker for what should be an already stacked Trojan team.
Another LA kid from Augustus Hawkins high school, Floyd continues USC’s successful recruiting from Hawkins as the prized duo of four-star athlete Greg Johnson and five-star wide receiver Joseph Lewis came from the same school and solidified USC’s 2017 recruiting class.
