After going undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft, former USC Offensive Lineman Jordan Simmons has signed with the Oakland Raiders.
Simmons was a 4-star prospect coming out of high school, but had his career at USC derailed due to multiple knee injuries. During his 3 non-redshirted years at USC, the trojans played 41 games; Simmons saw action in only nine of them (two starts).
After being denied a sixth year of eligibility, his chances of being picked up seemed slim until he turned heads with his impressive pro day. Measuring at 6’4”, 339 lbs., Simmons ran a 5.14 40-yd dash, put up 26 reps on the bench press, and reportedly looked great in position drills.
Good luck Jordan! Here’s to a long and healthy career in the NFL.
