2017 NFL Draft: USC Trojans WR Isaac Whitney signs with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted Free Agent

Whitney will get his shot in the NFL

USC Trojans Wide Receiver Isaac Whitney went undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft but has since signed with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent. Whitney announced it himself on twitter.

Whitney did not see much action for the Trojans during his short stint at USC despite being highly touted coming out of junior college. Injuries and an impressive depth chart kept Whitney’s playing time down. He has all of eight catches and two touchdowns in 18 games with USC.

Whitney had an incredible showing at this year’s USC pro day which certainly turned some heads and apparently caught the attention of the Raiders who are coached by USC alum Jack Del Rio. Jordan simmons will also be headed to Oakland as well.

Like all undrafted free agents Whitney has a long, difficult road ahead of him if he is going to make a final roster in the NFL.
