“The offensive line was also one of the focuses for the spring Coach Helton mentioned before the practice started and has been one of the largest concerns for the Trojans. There was limited showing from the offensive line but when they took the field in the first team session. Chris Brown, Roy Hemsley, Austin Jordan and Clayton Johnston flanked Nico Falah along the offensive line. Falah and Brown will probably be starters going into fall camp, along with Chuma Edoga, who was kept out of practice today. The questions will be can Toa Lobendahn and Viane Talamaivo get healthy in time to solidify what could be a strong offensive line for the Trojans.”

“With the departure of USC’s top receivers in Juju Smith-Schuster and Darreus Rodgers, the Trojans offense is now left looking for a spark from younger players. One whose arrival has been anticipated is Tyler Vaughns, and boy did he perform Saturday. His day included a couple 15+ yard receptions for first downs (one without his shoe on) and an amazing 20 yard touchdown catch, fading away in the back corner of the endzone. He displayed great route running, hands, and big playmaking ability throughout the day and was a handful for the Trojan secondary. His performance put many Trojan fans at ease with the previous question marks at wide receiver.”
