USC basketball is back in action tonight on the road against the UCLA Bruins in Pauley Pavilion but you can also watch on the Pac-12 Network, live stream it on Pac-12 Live or listen on Tune In. USC hopes to continue their winning streak against the purported basketball school on the other side of town.
The last time these two teams met was on January 25th when the Trojans took down the Bruins in the Galen Center 84-76. Since that game USC has gone 3-1 and have won 5 of their last 6 games. UCLA on the other hand has won 4 straight since the last meeting including a win over top-10 Oregon. The Oregon Ducks pulled off an 11-point victory against USC last Saturday.
The Bruins are 23-3 for the season and 10-3 in Pac-12 Conference Play good for 3rd place in the conference standings. The Trojans are 21-5 for the season and 8-5 in Conference play which puts them fifth in the Pac-12 standings. A win tonight for the Trojans ties them with the California Golden Bears (the first tiebreaker is overall record) it also only puts them 1 game back from overtaking UCLA in the Conference Standings. Remember, the top 4 teams get the first day of the Pac-12 Conference Championship tournament off with an automatic advancement into the quarterfinals.
Both teams should be reasonably well-rested as neither team has competed since last weekend, nor has either team had to travel in the last 2 weeks. The regular season is in the home stretch with just 2 more weeks remaining. Including tonight’s game with the Bruins There are 5 regular season games left on the USC Trojans basketball schedule with plenty of Pac-12 Conference Tournament implications on the line. Not to mention the total satisfaction of beating UCLA. Full game info for the Trojans and the Bruins is below:
