With the NCAA Tournament a little over a month away, it’s a very good possibility that USC Trojans Basketball will be dancing in March. With an overall record of 21-5 and an 8-5 conference record, USC is currently playing for seeding which changes each week. As we get closer to March Madness we’ll take a look at where the USC Trojans projected to be in the upcoming NCAA Tournament. The projections could change after this weekend.

CBS Sports: 6th Seed in the West Region- CBS Sports has the Trojans traveling to Indianapolis as a 6th Seed in the West region playing the winner of the Syracuse/Providence play in game in Dayton, Ohio. USC lost to Providence in the second round of last year’s NCAA tournament.

ESPN: 8 Seed in the West Region- ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has USC in the West region just like CBS, however he has them as an 8 seed playing Iowa State in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Trojans improve their resume with wins over UCLA and Arizona as well as a top 4 seeding in the Pac-12 Tournament next month.

USA Today: 9 Seed in the West Region- USA Today seeded the Trojans one below Joe Lunardi in the West Region. USC is projected as a 9 seed out in Salt Lake City facing Virginia Tech who is projected as an 8th seed.

SB Nation: 8 Seed in the South Region- Chris Dobbertean from SB Nation has USC as an 8 Seed, but unlike the other projections, he has the Trojans in the South region. That means USC would play in Tulsa, Oklahoma and face the VCU Rams. USC met VCU in the 1st round of the 2011 NCAA tournament where the Rams got the best of the Trojans during their run to the Final Four.
