USC football roster update: Discussing RB and TE with Mark Rogers TV

The Trojans are loaded at running back

We spoke with Mark Rogers TV to discuss the loaded USC Trojans roster particularly at the running back position. Justin Davis is gone, but stud running back Ronald Jones II returns along with Aca’cedric Ware and Dominic Davis. Also on the depth chart are Vavae Malepeai who will be a redshirt freshman for the 2017 season and of course 5-star blue-chip running back Stephen Carr who was part of the Trojans’ top 5 class on National Signing Day 2017.

Bottom line:

The USC football roster is stacked at running back. Keep in mind also that Sam Darnold has been known to run the ball as well. Given the talent, and Clay Helton’s love for offensive balance USC football should have plenty of production on the ground in 2017.

USC Trojans Tight Ends:

The tight end position has been a bit of a nightmare for USC football in recent years. The USC football roster has been plagued by turmoil. Whether it was the unfortunate Bryce Dixon situation, players leaving the team, or just an unwillingness to use them in the offense.

USC actually has tight ends now!

Things have begun to turn around under Clay Helton though. Helton has recruited well at the position and offensive coordinator Tee Martin has begun to incorporate them (slightly) more into the offense, particularly in the red zone. Expect to see a great year from Daniel Imatorbhebhe as well as Tyler Petite. Do not be surprised if other blue-chip recruits like Cary Angeline and Josh Falo get into the mix as well.
