Athlete Randal Grimes has submitted his letter of intent to the USC Trojans today officially making him a Trojan. Grimes is rated as a 4-Star player (out of 5) and 247 sports ranks him as the 22nd best in the country. Grimes had offers from many teams including the California Golden Bears, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Arizona State Sun Devils, Utah Utes and several more. The 6’ 4”, 205 pound prospect is from Desert Pines High School in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Grimes is listed as an athlete for recruiting rankings purposes because he can play multiple positions well. Grimes spent time in high school playing wide receiver, defensive back, and returned kicks. The Trojans will likely use him at wide receiver which is the position Grimes likely wants to play.

The Trojans had no other wide receiver commits in this recruiting class headed into National Signing Day. The USC roster, however, is currently loaded with young talent at the wide receiver position even with the great Juju Smith -Schuster departing early for the NFL Draft. Grimes will likely provide depth to the unit while likely not needing to immediately contribute on the field.
