Safety Bubba Bolden has sent his letter of intent to the USC Trojans today officially making him a Trojan and improving upon what should be an elite 2017 recruiting class. Bolden is rated as a 4-Star player (out of 5) and 247 sports ranks him as the 8th best Safety in the country. Bolden had offers from many teams including the UCLA Bruins, Washington Huskies, Notre Dame, the Ohio State Buckeyes and several more. The 6’ 2”, 192 pound prospect is from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Bolden had initially verbally committed to USC at the beginning of the recruiting cycle before backing off of that commitment and reopening his recruitment. Then in early January of 2017 at the Army All-America Game Bolden once again gave a verbal commitment to the Trojans. While some thought there was a chance that Bolden could change his mind again before today his signing of his letter of intent officially makes him a Trojan.
From: “Bubba Bolden Recommits to USC”
“Defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast will be ecstatic to earn the pledge of a physical player who can help fill the hole left by the graduation of Leon McQuay next season. Although he is still developing in certain areas of his game, USC fans should expect to see a lot of Bubba Bolden over the next few years.”
