A couple of Trojans made their appearance on the AP All-American teams.

The AP released their All-American teams on Monday morning, which featured two USC Trojans on the third team list. Junior running back Ronald Jones II and sophomore cornerback Jack Jones were the only two USC players to make the AP All-American team. Ronald Jones II had an outstanding season which saw him rush for over 1,486 yards and pass over a few all-times greats on school’s career rushing yards list. Jones II has been a huge piece for the USC offense especially in games where Darnold has struggled and by far one of the Trojans most valuable players this season.

Cornerback Jack Jones selection comes at a surprise to many considering the USC secondary took a lot of criticism this season. In games Jones has given up big plays from time to time, however he has also had a solid season by breaking up passes on key plays and leading the team in interceptions with four. Jones hasn’t completely been a shutdown corner this season, but he has been reliable when called upon which got him a few west coast votes.

One name that was surprisingly left off the AP All-American list was Trojans senior linebacker Uchenna Nwosu. Nwosu was a huge key for the USC defense by disrupting the opposing team’s offense in the backfield and deflecting passes left and right. That is a snub that should raise a few eyebrows considering the season he had this year.
