USC to face Stanford for the Pac-12 Championship

Stanford clinches the Pac-12 North following Apple Cup blow out.

The Pac-12 Championship Game is officially set!

The Pac-12 South Champs, USC Trojans will face the Stanford Cardinal on Friday, December 1st at Levi’s Stadium. The Stanford Cardinal won the Pac-12 North division after Washington defeated Washington State 41-14 Saturday night. The Cardinal ended up winning the division due to owning the head to head tie breaker over the Washington Huskies, where Stanford defeated Washington 30-22 back on November 10th . Stanford was in action against Notre Dame Saturday night where the Cardinal defeated the Irish 38-20.

This will be a rematch of their early season meeting where the Trojans made a convincing statement at home against the Cardinal 42-24. The Trojans racked up over 623 yards against the Cardinal. Keller Chryst was the starting quarterback during that game.

It won’t be the first time the Trojans and Cardinal will meet for the conference title. USC and Stanford met at the Pac-12 Championship game in 2015 where the Cardinal defeated the Trojans to win the conference championship. Clay Helton had the interim tag removed a few days before that game. USC will be looking to win their first conference championship since 2008, they’ll also be looking to be the first team from the south to win the Pac-12 Championship game where Stanford will be looking to win their 4th conference championship.

The Pac-12 Championship game will take place on Friday, December 1st at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Game will be televised on ESPN at 5 PM pacific time.
