USC took another significant drop in the latest AP Polls. Following their 49-14 loss to Notre Dame Saturday night, USC fell 10 spots from 11 to 21 in the AP Top 25. The steep drop in the polls seems fitting with the Irish demolishing the Trojans in a game that would increase the Playoff talk for the winner. Notre Dame jumped from 13 to 9 on Sunday.
USC now attempts to pick up the pieces as they continue Pac-12 play with another road game, this time in Tempe Arizona to face an Arizona State team coming off of wins over Washington and Utah in back to back weeks.
The rest of the Pac-12 didn’t see much movement in the polls on Sunday afternoon. Washington had a bye and stayed put at 12 while Washington State stayed at 15 following their 28-0 victory over Colorado. Stanford was the only team in the conference to move up despite them being off. The Cardinal jumped two spots from 22 to 20, one rank above the Trojans. USC defeated Stanford back in September.
