USC landed a huge commitment at the Army All-America Game from 4-star safety prospect Bubba Bolden. The Bishop Gorman product will be joining the Trojans as a top 75 player according to the 247Sports recruiting rankings, and one of the seven best safety prospects in the nation.
Bolden was previously committed to the Trojans at the beginning of the 2017 recruiting cycle before backing off his pledge in July. Earning Bolden’s reaffirmation of his intentions to attend USC is a big win for a program that will be feeling slightly disappointed at losing highly coveted cornerback Darnay Holmes to crosstown rivals UCLA.
Defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergrast will be ecstatic to earn the pledge of a physical player who can help fill the hole left by the graduation of Leon McQuay next season. Although he is still developing in certain areas of his game, USC fans should expect to see a lot of Bubba Bolden over the next few years.
