Former USC Trojans commit C.J. Miller announced on twitter Wednesday that he is opening up his recruitment. Miller’s decommitment surprised many who thought the 3-star safety was firmly with the Trojans and would remain so through National Signing Day.

Miller’s decommitment came after 4-star Safety Bubba Bolden committed to the Trojans at the Army All-America Game. The Trojans now have 17 commitments with 6 available slots headed into the final push before national signing day. The Trojans also have solid depth at the safety position particularly with Bolden joining the fray.
The decommitment drops USC from the 10th ranked recruiting class to the 11th according to 247 Sports. The Trojans remain the top class in the Pac-12. Those rankings could likely change between now and National Sign Day.
