A College football Season to Remember

NCAA Football: Rose Bowl Game-Penn State vs Southern California Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

With Clemson’s victory over Alabama last night in the national championship, the college football season is officially over.

What a ride it was for the USC Trojans. The Trojans started the season 1-3 and it seemed like Clay Helton was not going to last the whole season as head coach.

But then something amazing happened. USC quietly won nine straight games including a come from behind victory over Penn State in the Rose Bowl. A season that was once headed for a disaster had a fairy tale ending.

This team is going to one of the favorites to win the national championship next year and they should be. Led by Sam Darnold and company, the Trojans return a lot of playmakers on both sides of the ball and have some big time freshman in their recruiting class that should come in and play from day one.

But we are now headed into the offseason. It’s going to be another long offseason but hopefully it will be quick and just like that the Trojans will be opening their season against Western Michigan.
