They know he’s coming, and they still can’t stop him. Heisman candidate Christian McCaffrey is taking advantage of his prime-time billing and stealing the show. Stanford’s not-so-secret weapon has already rushed for 101 yards on 20 carries and a touchdown, and caught three passes for 72 yards and a TD.
The Trojans, meanwhile, still seem to be struggling with a lack of discipline. In the first half, USC had 7 penalties for 51 yards.
As the Trojans came onto the field after halftime, Coach Clay Helton stressed the need to improve on third down.
