Clay Helton spoke with the press after Thursday’s practice. The Trojans followed their usual schedule of working on red zone situations on Thursday and Helton feels confident in the progress the team has made since week one against Alabama. There were not many football updates as most of the questions from the press focused Osa Masina. Clay Helton repeatedly told them to take their questions to the University.
Helton has been preaching toughness, togetherness, and trust. He’s been preparing for this game since last December. Helton said the kids had a great week of practice and likes the progress his team has made each week.
When asked if they were prepared for Christian McCaffrey, Helton responded that no one ever really ready for him but that he really likes Clancy Pendergast’s game plane for Stanford and is confident in his ability to take the strength of opposing offenses away.
