On the Utah State game Helton said the team looked closer to the type of football they want to play and the type of team they want to be including controlling the time of possession and limiting turnovers. The offensive line showed tremendous improvement from game 1 to game 2 according to Helton. In particular the unit did a much better job with their assignments.
On Christian McCaffrey, Helton described him as a talented runner, elite route runner, and a personnel nightmare. Helton has been telling the team that these are usually ultra competitive and it will probably come down to 5 or 6 plays that determine who wins.
