USC Trojans Football 2016: Mock Game Week Begins

Clay Helton has the Trojans treating this week as though it were game week. The USC Football team is engaging in the same schedule and preparations as they normally would if they had a game on Saturday. The intention is to keep the team ahead of where they want to be according to Helton.

Helton and the staff have been digging deep into the film on Alabama and it is clear to Helton just how elite and well-coached the Crimson Tide really is. While USC does not know who Alabama’s starting QB will be, Helton says they are preparing for both quarterbacks.

While Max Browne has been named the starting QB Sam Darnold is going to be brought in to play in certain situations. Adoree’ Jackson has not been used on offense in practice because Helton wants him to focus on defense so that Jackson can become one of the greatest defensive backs in the country.
