In a day when all of the USC Trojans news was supposed to be about Max Browne being named the starting quarterback, the Trojans also received great news on the recruiting trail. 3-star defensive tackle James Lynch announced on twitter that he intends to play football at USC. Lynch is one of three recent defensive line commits along with Hunter Echols and Jacob LIchtenstein. Lynch had previously committed to TCU but decommitted shortly after.
Lynch is 6’ 4" and 282 pounds. 247 Sports has him ranked as the 60th best defensive tackle in the country and the 116th best recruit in the state of Texas. According to 247 Sports Lynch is a defensive tackle but there is a possibility that he will play defensive end at USC. Check out some of his highlights from Hudl:
