USC Trojan Tynia Gaither Will Represent the Bahamas in the 2016 Summer Olympics

USC will be represented in Rio

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Tynia Gaither jus wrapped up her senior season competing for the Trojans as she qualified in three finals at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon just last month. After bouncing back from a dropped baton in the 4x1 relay and still managing to finish Top 10, Gaither went on to conclude her collegiate career in her individual events placing fourth in the 100 meter dash with a wind-aided personal best of 11.08, as well as placing fifth in the 200 meter in a PR of 22.54 (which is third in USC history).

However, even after the NCAA Championships, Tynia Gaither’s season isn’t quite finished as she has made the Olympic Team for the Bahamas in both the 100 and 200 and will be en route to the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in early August.

Congratulations Tynia and may you represent the Bahamas and the Trojan family strong in Rio.
