The USC Trojans fans can look forward to seeing a progressive program under head coach Andy Enfield, who received a two-year contract extension lasting through 2021. Further terms of the deal were not made available. Enfield's extension has the Trojan community excited about their men's basketball program being able to continue with Enfield who has improved the program.

Andy Enfield coached the Trojans to 21 wins and the first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 2011. The Pitt Panthers reached out to Enfield to gauge his interest in filling their vacancy. Both sides, ultimately, went in different directions.

The general consensus thus far supports the extension as many are excited about the promise of continued progress that Enfield should bring to the program. "We are very excited about the direction of our men's basketball program under Coach Enfield and the progress that has been made," said USC athletic director Pat Haden.

For Head Coach Andy Enfield, he looks forward to the development of players and of the team that should produce an exciting 2016-17 season.

With Enfield's extension, it will be interesting to see how much further USC can advance this time next year.
