On the site today, we have the fifth episode of our Dog Days of Dedeaux podcast. In other news, USC's men's basketball team can hold their heads a little higher, as they were among much company when they got sent home in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Turns out the Trojans were one of five teams from the Pac-12 that got sent home early, with only two others advancing past the first round.
Yahoo Sports also reported on the Pac-12's weak showing in the tournament this year, considering they advanced 7 whole teams into March Madness. Of those original 7, only the Oregon Ducks survived, and will go up against NCAA heavyweight Duke in the Sweet 16. Then ABC News included Providence's Rodney Bullock and his last-minute layup against USC in their tournament highlights.
As far as USC's crosstown rivals go, UCLA head coach Steve Alford wrote a letter to Bruins fans essentially apologizing for the season, according to The Big Lead. UCLA's historic three losses to USC this season surely count towards Alford's sense of guilt. Meanwhile, the Trojans baseball team gears up for Week 4 of their season. Check out the highlights below.
