It's always good day when you can steal a recruit away from another Pac-12 school. Vavae Malepeai, a four-star running back from the state of Hawaii according to Scout, announced moments ago that he would take his talents to USC.

Malepeai had been committed to Oregon since June 2015 but a recent visit gave him a change of heart according to The Oregonian's Andrew Nemec.

Malepeai broke the Hawaii all-time rushing yardage record and touchdowns record in his senior year for 10-3 Mililani and was nominated for the U.S. Army Player of the Year Award. Malepeai ran for 1,952 yards and 34 total touchdowns for Mililani. The 5'11" running back so his stock increase dramatically after a great performance at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

USC has a deep running back core coming back next year so it will be interesting to see where the speedy Hawaiian fits.
