Latest updates concerning Pat Haden's condition come from the LA Times, which reports that the retiring athletic director underwent an "unspecified medical procedure" sometime yesterday, and NBC Sports, which reports that Haden is in stable condition and "resting comfortably at a local hospital" according to a press release.

Meanwhile the men's basketball team prepares to face off against Arizona State University later tonight on the road. The LA Times highlights the fact that USC is back in the top 25 nationally after their win over UCLA last week. The LA Times also points out that the Trojans, now ranked No. 23, are only behind Oregon in competition for the conference. LA Daily News praises the team as well, calling the Trojan's balanced attack a "recipe for success."

In other sports team news, the LA Daily News also writes about USC's baseball team, which narrowly missed qualifying for the College World Series in 2014. This year, the team is ranked 16th in Baseball America's preseason poll, and has seven returning seniors in their rotation. Their next test will be next Friday against North Dakota.
