On the site today, Julain Lopez writes about Alex Wood's departure from the USC football program. The kicker technically has another year of eligibility, but has elected to move on to other things. Matt Boermeester, who just finished his redshirt year, and Michael Brown, a recent recruit from the 2016 class, both act as kickers and will most likely take over Wood's duties.
From around the web, the LA Times' Lindsey Thiry answers reader's questions in this week's USC mailbag, and ESPN profiles Class of 2017 recruit Osiris St. Brown. St. Brown is a longtime fan of the Trojans, and sounded very happy to receive an official offer from the program.
Meanwhile Reign of Troy also looks to the future, profiling 15 football prospects to look out for in 2017. The list includes quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and running back Najee Harris, among others.
The women's basketball team is also having a strong season, having just beat Arizona 67-57. Check out the highlights below.
