Adoree’ Jackson wins the 2016 Jim Thorpe Award

Jackson becomes the second Trojan to win the award

It’s safe to say that Adoree’ Jackson is having a pretty good year. Jackson has made several jaw-dropping plays this year and was rewarded by being named the recipient of the 2016 Jim Thorpe Award, which is given to the nation’s top defensive back.

USC’s other Jim Thorpe Award winner is Mark Carrier, who took home the award in 1989.

On the season, Jackson has 51 tackles, four interceptions, 11 pass deflections, and two fumble recoveries.
